Hello gurls! In the spirit of the sissy pageant, let’s bring back sissy corset training!

I’ve been training sissies for a while now, long enough to notice trends over time in the sissy kink. And one thing I’ve noted, on social media at least, is that fewer and fewer sissies seem to be wearing corsets!

Well, at least the frilly sissies are still carrying on the tradition, but you know what I mean.

Now, I know that lots of gurls, and maybe even their Mistresses, associate corsets with the frilly sissy. Since the sissy might not identify as such, she may think that a corset isn’t for her. But there are many other reasons to wear a corset other than adherence to the frilly sissy trope. Enough that this is the first installment in a two or three part series!

Read along as I first offer a brief primer on the different types of garments that either are corsets, or that are often confused for them.

Then, Stay tuned as I offer My opinion on how any sissy can benefit from sissy corset training!

Let’s start with the real thing, shall we?

An actual corset for sissy corset training!

A corset is, in short, part shapewear, part lingerie. It usually covers the torso from just over your sissy titties to just above your round girly bottom, cinching in the waist and accentuating the bust and hips. The traditional corset had bones and laced up the back. Incidentally, way back when (circa early 19th century and before), many had real bones. I’m serious. Whale bones.

Later, bones came to be comprised of synthetic material, first slim metal rods, then plastic. Through today, these classic boned corsets are then covered with a decorative fabric, lined with something absorbent, like linen or cotton, and have eyelets running all the way up the back. These are laced with cord or ribbon, and cinched as tightly as the wearer can bear.

What was considered a flattering feminine shape has changed over time, and corsets were crafted to create those desired silhouettes. The eras have seen everything from a flat front and a square waist (think Queen Elizabeth I) to an exaggerated hourglass.

Yes, women eventually sought freedom from the corsets of old because the quest for the smallest waist possible caused discomfort at best, and physical problems at worst.

But sissies are known for being willing to suffer for beauty!

Coerced fem, anyone?

However . . .

Don’t get Me wrong; listening to your body, exercising common sense, and submitting to an experienced Mistress guide in sissy corset training can forestall the aforementioned physical problems. And as I alluded to, the potential, more benign discomfort may be a feature, not a bug, to many gurls!Goddess Rachel encourages you to try sissy corset training! 1-800-356-6169

Especially those with a bondage kink!

In addition, there are lots of other choices in items that can be considered corsets these days. Some don’t even have bones, and are more decorative than supportive. Some lace, some clip, and some even close with velcro or buttons.

But the way you can discern if what you’re looking for is a corset, is if it goes from chest to hips, basically.

Me? I’m a sucker for the old-fashioned kind.

In the next installment, I’ll talk about bustiers, waist-trainers, and any other item I can think of between now and then that often gets confused for a corset.

And about that sissy pageant!
